the more one realises how little one knows."

Summer Hols
We have been on a short holiday to Mt Mauganui in the Bay of Plenty. Above are some snaps of things that caught my eye as we were wondering around the town.
We spent a lot of time splashing around in the pool and the sea.
Walking on the beach at sun rise. Amazingly beautiful.
There were a lot of sea gulls.

The sun rising behind Te Mata Peak was so beautiful yesterday morning I have just had to include so many snaps. There was a little bit of mist and some lovely fluffy clouds, really stunning. I know it looks like the hills are blurry, but they really did look that way. The last snap is of the valley behind me full of mist..jpg)

Just had a great time in Auckland at the Calico Christmas quilt show, with the ladies from Kierunga Quilt group. We were treated and spoilt all weekend. It was brilliant to just let sombody else do the organisation, especially when they did it so well. Thank you to Shirley and Colleen for making it such a good time. And thanks to all the other ladies for all the goodies passed around.
The first view is of the sun rising, taken from my hotel room. The second is from a room at the front of the hotel over to Auckland CBD. The hotel is the Byron on Spencer, a nice tidy comfortable place to stay on the North Shore.
