Today's diasies found on top of a very large chocolatey cake, which we bought from a cake stall at my youngest's school. He begged me to buy him the largest chocolate cake. Unfortunatly when we got home and cut it up it was a banana cake. Not his favourite. I will have to make him a big squishy cake when the kitchen is in a better condition.

Strange Translation
I am not a domestic goddess at all, and I never ever check labels before washing things. Peter has a lot of very small jumpers. For some strange reason when I was about to iron my lovely super soft new top I thought I should check the label. I was suprised with the fabric content, is the label correct or has there been something lost in translation.
Do they really make t-shirts out of Bamboo in China.07 May 2008
Today's Suprise Daisies #45
Today's daisies arrived in a suprise parcel from my Mum. Don't you just love suprise parcels. Mum did tell me there was a parcel on the way, but with all the recent disasters, I had forgotten all about it.
Inside were some really cool daisy fabrics. I can just see them in a quilt with chicken fabrics already.

And a patchwork block. The block is called North Wind.
Just what I needed to cheer me up. I am sure it was about this time last year that we had lots and lots of disasters. This year so far - the Dishwasher has broken down again for the last time, the Microwave is attempting to blow itself up with sparks each time it is used, the Tumble Drier has developed a very very loud rattle and on Sunday smoke started to billow out of the Iron. And just to cap it all we had the big scare with my youngest last week ending up in hospital and Peter's Dad is really seriously ill, he has lung cancer. Who says things come in threes, sometimes it seems like they come in twenty threes. Mind you seeing my youngest back home and running around full of energy puts everything else in perspective.

Pass It Forwards
In the post today I recieved a lovely brown paper parcel all the way from Australia. I love brown paper parcels. The parcel was from Curly Pops a "Pass it Forward" gift. The idea is the first three people to leave a comment, will recieve a hand made gift from me, some time in the next 365 days. The only thing is you must be prepared to do the same on your blog, and promise that in the next 365 days you will send out three hand made gifts. Hope I have got this right, and hope that this time I remember.Inside my parcel was a beautiful apron and hairband, in lovely pink and orange. I am not a pink girl, but I love pink and orange together. Thank you so much Cam.
