It was Peter's Mum and Dad's Diamond wedding aniversary yesterday. Isn't that amazing being married for 60 years, incredible.
It was on the 26th May 1947, at Aberdeen registry office. Reception was in Mums mothers house. Of course there was still rationing so Brenda ( mums sister in law ) had to gather what she could from friends to make the cake. Dad was just about to go out to palestine. Mum was in the ATS but you had to leave if you got married so she was returned home until they demobbed her a couple of weeks later.
