+(3).jpg) Today was spent painting the facier board around our house. We are getting the spouting replaced. Last week they stripped of the old leaky stuff and next week they will be putting up the new unleaky spouting. In the mean time we needed to get up the ladders and paint the boards. Which meant a weekend of painting. One of the benefits of being up a ladder is you notice a lot of sky, yes I know I should have been paying attention to what I was doing. But if I hadn't been looking at the sky I would never have seen this unusual phenomena. I think it is caused by a thin layer of ice crystals in the upper atmosphere.

the more one realises how little one knows."
